Public space; can be defined as a common, public and social activity area that belongs to the community. They are common spaces where the ideas, actions and speeches aimed at revealing the common good of the society are realized.
Public spaces are structures that provide social and cultural integration between cities and people. These spaces usually exist spontaneously as an environmental formation. However, in well-designed spaces, the production of public spaces is designed to integrate design and public space.
In history, agoras are the most striking examples of public spaces where various activities related to the city take place and various discourses are expressed to address societal issues.
Today, squares can be exemplified as public spaces that frequently host public space events and actions, and can adapt to everyday life. Factors such as technological advancements, increasing human needs, and diversification of space qualities have also led to the differentiation of public spaces today. In the emerging process, many spaces with increased interaction, such as entertainment and sports areas, shopping centers, and neighborhood markets have become public spaces.
